I’m an indonesian, and lately, one can observed that things started to heat up between Malaysia and Indonesia.

About two months ago, an official Indonesian martial arts referee, invited by Malaysian government, were beaten by 4 Malaysian authorities, without any clear reasons. The minister then apologize, days later, via phone call. (which some consider as not a proper apologize)

Then days ago, one of Indonesian traditional song, “Rasa Sayange”, were used by Malaysian government as part of their tourism program. The Malaysian minister stated that Indonesia won’t be able to prove that the song were originally from Indonesia.

In my knowledge, the song, which originated from Maluku region of East Indonesia, was considered traditional, that it’s not patented or anything.

I found out about these events from the news, not from any rumours.

So what can you say about this? Does any of these news appear at your place? or do you have different perspective regarding these events?
