I’d wanted to go tour the jail, and a few other places (one whose owner I met while shopping) when I was down there in 2005.
But my then-girlfriend and her mother were too holy-roller to chance it.

Is that all a “ghost” can muster? I’ve been there; it’s a creepy place, of historical importance and lots of awful things happened there, but haunted? No. It’s just your imagination, runnin’ away with you…

My friend caught an orb like this on her camera in the jail while we were on the tour. Also, the camera of another girl who was on the tour quit working while in the building. It is one spooky place, that’s for sure!

I was on a tour there this summer we were just leaving a room and I was last one out when I heard this heavy scrapping come from behind me. I know that place is haunted it just feels evil.

I am a Charleston native and just recently took the tour of the jail. On the second floor, I smelled the sweet smell of pipe tobacco, and it was about 30 seconds later that she mentioned the name of a former jailer by the name of Cedric who is deemed one of the evil entities on the site. Supposedly, when you smell that scent, then Cedric is present in the room. I’m a firm believer in the Charleston ghost stories.

I agree, the Old City Jail in Charleston IS haunted!! I’ve been on the tour several times and it can be spooky. Zero hokey factor – kind of a history tour mixed w/ some ghost stories. Very cool. HauntedJailTour . com .

That’s not what this clip is about. The wall isn’t what was I was talking about….it’s the white thing that flies through and then disappears
