China has a long history, whether material or cultural heritage is rich and attractive, China’s landscape is also a desirable tourist destination.Tourism in China is a good choice, the following will provide you with some travel tips to China, hoping for your trip to China help.

Try to get a English speaking tour guide at every opportunity you can. China has a rich and wonderful history and culture and without a guide, somehow, the flavour and significance of most tour sites can be lost.

Sneaky tip: Hang around a group that has a English speaking guide if you cannot afford one! Always ask for a receipt from a taxi driver so that you can complain if you have been cheated or for tracing purposes if you happen to leave your camera behind in the taxi.

Try to take the “namecard” for each hotel that you are staying at as these cards will have a Chinese address and the map of your hotel location. This is useful if you need to seek assistance to find your way back as the English version or pronunciation of a hotel or a street name may be quite different from the Chinese version.

After a tiring day, check out Chinese foot reflexology or Chinese “TuiNa“?? (Chinese massage). Wonderful for the body after a hard day and very cheap to boot. Simply look out for shop signs that shows two feet! They are everywhere.

Make friends with the Chinese whenever you can. They love to meet foreigners and will make good tour guides. Just buy a small present as a small token of appreciation.

Before you travel into China, perfer to learn a litter survival Chinese word, like say hello, ask the way,and urgent telephone No.

Edison mandarin provding professional Chinese train service for people which have business with Chinese or want to go into business in the future,or interesting in Chinese culture,or want to travel in China recently.and now providing a free lessons for beginner to experience our service and teaching quality.

Details of China visa requirements are available online. They include instructions for what is required to apply and successfully acquire ad Chinese visa.

Passports: You must have a valid passport to visit China. Your passport must have blank visa pages inside as well as a Chinese visa. Your passport must have at least six months of time before expiring. Business and student passports must have at least 12 months before expiration.

Type of Visas: The most common Chinese visa is an L visa. Tourists are provided L visas when they visit China for sightseeing trips. Business visas require letters of invitation from a Chinese or state owned business or government agency. Tourists who wish to travel to parts of China that are not open to outsiders must apply for a travel visa once they arrive in China.

Forms: Declaration forms and L visa forms are available online. These forms can be printed and filled out before scheduling your appointment at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate. China now requires a Declaration Form. This form is also available online and must accompany your application request for a visa.

Photos: China will accept black and white as well as color, two inch by two inch photographs with your application. These photos must be recent and be included with your visa application.

Fees: China has a set fee for visa applications. A money order, cash or bank draft in the amount of $130 must be brought with you to your appointment.

Expedite: Expediting service for a Chinese visa is handled by a travel-agent expeditor. These people charge a fee for their services. These fees start at $40 and go up from there.

Additional Requirements: In order to process your visa application you must verify your round trip travel tickets, your motel reservations and check your application and declaration form. You must provide your own pre-paid mailing envelope. The Chinese government states that Express Mail, UPS and FedEx are the companies that they prefer to use when returning your documents. Most importantly you will need to include a cover letter that states you are requesting a visa, what is included in the pre-paid return mailing envelope and has your name, address and telephone numbers included.

If you find you are having problems with China visa requirements you can call the embassy or consulate. They will be glad to help.

China is set to register the world’s largest online population in 2008, according to a recent survey by the China Internet Network Information Center. With 73 million new net users in 2007, taking the total pool to 210 million, China is only 5 million Internet users behind the US, which leads the world in terms of connectivity. And there’s room for growth, as China’s current Internet penetration ratio of 16 percent is well below the world average of 19.1 percent.

China News

Golden Down – Previously one of China’s “Golden Week” national public holiday periods, the May Day break is no more. New regulations have reduced the holiday from three days to one day, while four traditional Chinese festivals – Tomb Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year’s Eve – have become one-day national holidays. In addition, the fairer sex are now also permitted a half-day public holiday on International Women’s Day (March 8), children younger than 14 can take a break on Children’s Day (June 1), and active-duty soldiers get a half-day off on August 1. Tough luck if you’re a male office worker over the age of 14.

A Bicycle Built For Two – The Beijing government is pedaling pretty fast to encourage locals to forget the car and get back on a bike. In recent months, a number of new bike hire ventures have started appearing all over town. Located in the vicinity of subway stations and shopping precincts, the bike stations allow patrons to pay a deposit, pick up a bike, and drop it off at one of dozens of other bike stations when done.

Tourism Trillions

For the first time ever, China’s tourism revenue broke the one trillion mark in 2007, reaching RMB1.09 trillion (US$137.92 billion), according to the China National Tourism Administration. The number of inbound travelers topped 132 million, up 5.5 percent on 2006 figures, and over 54 million people stayed overnight, up 9.6 percent. The influx created an estimated 500,000 job opportunities in the tourism sector.

Olympic Update

Beijing’s National Aquatics Centre, a.k.a. the Water Cube, was officially unveiled on January 28 and an Olympic test event in the facility will be staged on February 5. Taking four years to build, the US$130 million building is comprised of a series of blue membranes, creating a distinctive “double bubble” appearance. Come August 2008, over 42 gold medals will be given away inside the Centre, which houses 6,000 permanent and 11,000 temporary seats for spectators.

The Beijing Capital Airport Express Line – the express rail line connecting Beijing with its airport – will begin test runs on April 1 and is due to be fully operational by July 1. Extending from the central transportation hub of Dongzhimen to Beijing Capital Airport, stopping at Sanyuanqiao Station, Airport Terminal T3 Station, and Terminal T2 Station, the 28.1-kilometer (17.4-mile) line will soar above the traffic, whipping passengers to the airport in a speedy 17 minutes. Needless to say, taxi drivers are not happy that their most lucrative route may be compromised.

The Beijing Olympic Village – apartments for 205 athlete delegations – is preparing for a July opening. Located less than three kilometers (1.86 miles) from the Bird’s Nest, the village is also equipped with indoor fitness and training centers, a jogging path, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, recreational facilities such as Internet cafes, games and DVD rooms, worship and meditation rooms, and a comprehensive outpatient clinic providing emergency and doping detection services.

Protecting Its Young – The Forbidden City and Great Wall are, like, sooo yesterday. The Beijing Municipal Government recently announced that it’s now focusing on the protection of modern architectural monoliths previously overlooked in favor of ancient historical structures. A total of 188 buildings built within the past 160 years are to be given government protection, including the 50-year-old Great Hall of the People, schools built by missionaries in the 19th century; and the city’s first water works.

New Restaurant And Bars In China

A Gourmet Revolution – A chic new warehouse space – 1949 – The Hidden City – will open this Spring in Beijing. The 6,000-square-meter (64,590-square-feet) space features Gallery 49, showcasing modern art, as well as seven restaurants and bars. Located in a glass house, Sugar Bar is dedicated to coffee and chocolate sweet things; Duck de Chine is an innovative duck restaurant with an exclusive Bollinger Champagne Bar; 1/5taverna has digs in a rustic warehouse and features a made-to-share menu and live mariachi music; Noodle Bar dishes up fresh noodles in a contemporary setting; 1/5 is a chill-out lounge, situated in a loft space; for the summer months, outdoor Well Bar serves ice cold beer around an abandoned well; and Club 49 is a private club devoted to good food, good wine, and good art.

Global Sounds – A nightclub partnership between Hong Kong’s Love Da Records and local DJs, Globe Music Bank is the newest mega-club to grace the nightlife scene in Guangzhou. Spread over four different rooms, the club debuted in January with sounds from legendary DJ Meat Katie, alongside wild pyrotechnic displays and bar antics that put Tom Cruise to shame.

In Da House – Throwing open its doors in Shanghai just before Christmas, the sleek, sexy Hamilton House is located in a 1930s art deco building, featuring high ceilings, quirky loveseats and art deco knickknacks above the bar. Within spitting distance of the Bund, the restaurant dishes up modern international cuisine, and some of the best desserts around.

Not A Silly Sausage – The cold weather may be over for now, but the comfort food has just begun. A newcomer in 2008, the German Sausage Corner in Suzhou sells (you guessed it) German sausages, beer and not too much else. The succulent Bratwurst and Currywurst platters are a treat with a freshly brewed beer in the cozy restaurant, tucked down Bar Street.

For Sure Faurs Chou – The newest gallery on Beijing’s Dashanzi 798 Art District block, Faurschou, is the brainchild of notable Danish collectors Luise and Jens Faurschou, who opened their acclaimed Galleri Faurschou in Copenhagen in 1986. Their 1,000-square-meter (10,765-square-feet) space in Beijing is dedicated to showcasing the best in modern international art to the Chinese community, with an opening exhibition from renowned American artist Robert Rauschenberg and planned shows from the likes of Michael Kvium, Andy Warhol and even Pablo Picasso.

Upcoming China Events

It Really Is a Great Wall – To be run on May 17 this year, the Great Wall Marathon is regarded as one of the most extraordinary races in the world. Held on a spectacular section in Tianjin of China’s most famous landmark, the marathon is for the truly hardy. It includes 3,700 steps, many of which are irregularly shaped or spaced; exhausting ascents; slippery stones; and unfinished paths.

Ghostly – Also known as Tomb Sweeping or Ghost Festival, Qingming is a traditional Chinese holiday marked to remember and honor ancestors by visiting their graves with family, offering food, wine, tea, chopsticks and incense. Falling on April 4 in 2008, the festival is also considered a good time to make a fresh start – it’s a popular time for first dates, and sees fallen-out friends and relatives mend bridges.

Midi Me – From humble roots, the Midi Music Festival has grown the biggest outdoor music festival in China, held over four days in Beijing every May (May 1 to 4, 2008). The festival attracts an eclectic mix of local and international bands – from folk, rock, punk and metal to electronica and even a spot of rap – and a crowd just as diverse. This year will see one stage sponsored by Sutasi, which has promised to up the international cred of the festival and bring out a couple of big name bands.

Every country is unique in its own. China has its vast culture and places which have a great mythological history behind them. It is great for its people and for the rest of the world it’s a great flavor. Today Chinese mythology, Chinese coins, vastu shastra has got a great hold over the market place all over the world. People from different places come to visit china to visit different good places while the chief intention stays to be learning about their culture and enjoying the difference in life. That’s the reason Chinese business travel is growing in leaps in bounds after the popularity of Chinese mythology.

China at an international level of trade provides various products, it has got a potential to produce each and every product with a brilliant man power. This results in a very good output forcing them to throw it away in the international market. Moreover, due to its cheaper products companies do get attracted and forced to have a contract with them in order to compete in the international market. The portfolio managers easily create their client through out the world in order to have a grip towards the international trade and increase their own market.

Moreover, Asia continent has got number of developing nations. Multinational companies seeking over this nation can easily get goods by China Sourcing. Apart from that, being geographically located in Asia, China business travel has a very good scope for expanding its market in its neighbor developing nations and acquiring chief place in such markets. It has a very good command over the electronic goods parts, materials made up of plastics, some of the ingredients of the drinks and lots more. China Business Sourcing has proved to be value for money with a wide range of variety not only for itself, but has also become one of the best international traders amongst the developed countries in the World.

There are several risks in the business and the insurance agency helps and provides assistance to the china trade industry. There can be risk also of a political nature like sudden war and civilian agitations and restrictions in the smooth flow of cash. Insurances are made to organizations directly dealing with exporting formalities, independent private banks who lend funds to global buyers also avail Insurance facility. Some small-scale China business sectors are free of premium payments and can keep paying as per their cash-inflow.

In the course of the present selection of the low-cost countries for global sourcing, China Business is one region that has received utmost consideration and attention. Hence, it is critical to recognize, understand and have a study of the characteristics that drive China Business as the principal resource of supply in the international trade.

As China global sourcing and trade with the rest of the world has intensified, its composition and geographical outline has also undergone a noticeable shift in the global sourcing scenario. Its share of overseas trade to industrialized economies has also shown an improvement and become more diversified.

This is a trend (global sourcing) which is raising high in the developed countries so as to manage the business which involves maintaining multiple firms around different geographical locations. This helps to meet two main challenges:

news.tootoo.com, which is the shortcut to China’s industrical resource belonging to China’s leading B2B Portal and Vertical Search Engine, tootoo.com.

Lijiang is an and quaint town in Yunan, a province of China which is well endowed with magnificent and beautiful mountains, rivers and a long history. The ancient Lijiang county was put into the list of world cultural legacy by the World Legacy Committee of the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization in 1997.

The city of Lijiang has a history of 800 years or 900 years dating from the Sung Dynasty. Why is Lijiang one of the most beautiful city in the world? Firstly, it is one of the very few city which is over a mile high above sea level. Smacked in the middle of the Lijiangba Dam, surrounded by snowcapped mountains and a river that runs through an oriental forest with small streams meandering into the town. Some tourists even called the town “Heaven On Earth”.

Lijiang experienced an earth shattering 7 on the Richter scale earthquake on February 1996 which killed more than 5,000 people mainly the Naxi community being the major community in Lijiang. Since then, Lijiang caught the attention of the world and tourism growth was unprecedented. As such, Lijiang is now one of the most favoured tourist travel destination in China.

Most residents in Lijiang are of the Naxi tribe. The Naxi community makes a living by herding yaks and doing small retail businesses. The construction of the ancient Lijiang city was quickly developed in the Ming Dynasty. This is especially so because the Ming Dynasty made a large number of people in Anhui Province to migrate into Lijiang in order to station military troops and common people in the boundary areas.

As a result of this mass migration, the buildings of Lijiang ancient city were very much influenced by the architectural style of Anhui Province. The original buildings of the Naxi community can only be found in the rural areas surrounding Lijiang City.

The Yuan dynasty and the Mongol Emperor then, Kublai Khan stationed military troops in Lijiang in 1253. He brought the foreign culture alien to Lijiang and thus Lijiang was then influenced by the culture Central China, such as Buddhism and Taoism, and then affected by the Christianity and Islamic culture in the early 1900s. The Naxi community assimilated all these cultures. As such, Lijiang is also very much appreciated for its cultural landscape not only in China, but the entire Asia.

Millions of tourists travel to Lijiang each year to enjoy Lijiang’s primitive simplicity, tranquility and elegant culture. The folks at Lijiang enjoy music too. You can hear the beautiful music from the dwelling houses in Dayanzhen Town. The musicians carry their often home made musical instruments to take part in household parties all over the town.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang is perhaps one the most beautiful mountain range in the world, famous for its perilous, beautiful and breathtaking landscapes. The mountain is a world class tourist scenic spot. The peak of the Jade Dragon Mountain is some 5596 meters (about 17,000 ft) above sea level. The mountain’s thirteen peaks viewed from south to north look just like a flying giant Chinese dragon. A very formidable view indeed.

China is a land of ancient wonders. It’s so different from the norm of western travelers that a first visit there can be a bit intimidating. Today, we will become acquainted with some basic traveler information on China. We’ll talk about the time of year to go, when to avoid China and some points of interest.

Times to Go

China can get pretty cold in the winter. For instance, Temperatures in Beijing are average highs of 40F and lows of 14F. In Hong Kong, the temperatures are more bearable58 F 75 F. The summers can get a little warm for some, but it’s the best time of the year to visit China. Temperatures can reach 90 F in Beijing and Hong Kong.

When To Avoid China

The worst month to travel in China is February. In early to mid-February, the Chinese hold their Spring Festivalwe also know it as Chinese New Year. February is when most Chinese either take a vacation or limit work time. Therefore, the country is crowded with travelers and businesses are closed or operating during limited hours.

Festivals

As with many countries, festivals are held throughout the year at various locations within China. We already talked about the Spring Festival, which is something to experience if you don’t mind being overcrowded.

The Harbin’s Ice Festival is held in Zhaolin Park. It starts in the beginning of January and runs through the end of February. This ice festival is a spectacle that features huge ice sculptures of legendary figures and animals. It’s held at this time of the year, because the temperatures a freezing. The average temperature will be around 20 F. If you like the cold, or can stand it, this is one festival to check out.

If you are interested in visiting the Birthplace of Confucius, check out Qufu. Confucius’ birthday, which falls on September 8, is a celebrated event. It’s also home to many Confucius points of interest, such as the Confucius Temple.

China is full of great travel points. Don’t try to tackle them all in one visit. Pick an area and savor the moments while you are there. Beijing is in the north and Hong Kong is in the south.

Beijing is the capital city of China, and it is a world famous city filled with ancient history and culture. It is also China’s political, economic, cultural, and transportation center covering an area of over 16,800 square kilometers. With a population of over 15 million, Beijing has a semi humid continental climate. Its winters are cold and dry, while the summers are hot and humid – both spring and autumn are short lasting. Because of the winter cold and summer heat, the best times to travel to Beijing are during the spring and autumn seasons.

Where Ji (Beijing today) was situated was a strategically advantageous location for development. It’s situated on a small plain with three sides closed off with surrounding mountains, and expansive rolling plains to the south. Leading to the south were a number of gorges such as Shangguan Pass, Juyongguan, and Nankou Pass (south entry pass). To the northwest, there is Badaling (Eight Prominent Peaks, which happens to be a popular tourist destination for Great Wall Tours today), leading to the Mongolian plateau. With this, Ji was a strategic communications hub between the north and the south.

Beijing is the capital of China, located in the northern part of China. As the capital of China, Beijing stands as the nation’s social, economical, political, and cultural center. Beijing has had a rich history of enduring invasions by warlords and foreign powers, devastating disasters, and has seen the rise and fall of generations of imperial dynasties.

Since 1949, Beijing officially became the capital of the People’s Republic of china. This splendid city attracts millions of visitors and tourists from all over the world each year. Today, Beijing is the center and home of the greatest repository of historical landmarks and monuments from imperial China.

Beijing has a fantastic blend of historical tourism sites and modern 21st century technology and lifestyle. From the world famous Great Wall of China, Forbidden City Palace, Summer Palace, and Ming Tombs to WangFuJing, Tianmen Square, Beijing’s West Railway Station, and China Central Television Tower.

The Beijing Opera has a history of over 200 years, and it is one of the key features of ancient Chinese culture. It was named Peking Opera as it evolved from several types of local operas that were performed in the city of Beijing. Its origins tracks back to 1790 during the Qing Dynasty, where 4 famous operas from Anhui Province performed in Beijing.

You’ll also discover the wide variety of gourmet cooking Beijing has to offer including the eight most famous regional cuisines of China, ranging from the hot and spicy Szechuan style cooking, to light, non-greasy tasting ShangDong style, and the Huaiyang cuisine with a history traceable back to 300 BC, and most famous of all, Peking Duck (Beijing Duck). Peking Duck (Beijing Duck) history can be traced back to more than 1,500 years ago; however it has its roots in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644).

China has an immense territory totaling 9.6 million square kilometers(3.7 million square miles – slightly smaller than the USA) with the largest population of any country in the world at approximately 1.3 billion (one fifth of the world’s population, and more than four times the USA). China includes over 5000 islands in and around its coastline with the Taiwan province and Hainan Island being the two largest. On this vast area of land, there are high mountains, long rivers, undulating hills, boundless plains and fertile basins.
Climate – China is so far-reaching the climate differences between north & south, and east & west are significant.
Spring – February, March, April
Summer - May, June, July
Autumn – August, September, October
Winter – November, December, January
My first choice on the most comfortable time to Travel to China and plan your China vacation would be autumn. This is a lovely time of year, not too hot or humid, with temperatures around 20′C to 25′C.
Spring, would be my next choice, with temperatures around the same as at autumn time.
The Summers are very hot and humid, Shanghai is around 35′C moving to 40′C, very sticky and humid.
The winter’s are cold, Shanghai reaching down to 0′C, and Harbin in the north (where the illuminated winter ice sculptures are a magic showcase), can get between -15′C to -30′C. (Ouch!)
The best place to escape the cold weather is to Southern China.
Spring and Autumn are busy tourist times, especially for Beijing and Shanghai , the business and tourist traffic never seems to slow down. China, being so vast and with recently relaxed restrictions on domestic travel, generates massive numbers of native tourists; foreign visitors regularly compete with locals for space.
The most busiest times of the year are the following times, Spring Festival, this would be the Chinese New Year time, (early January/around the end on January / Early February), Labour day Holidays, (early May), and National Day Holidays, (early October).
Millions of Chinese travel at these times of the year, major congestion, most are travelling back to home towns or seeing family. Hotels, Cars, Trains, Planes, Buses, Roads… all packed to the maximum.

At this warm and comfortable season,it would certainly be an exhilarating experience for tourists to see the rising sun and the sparkling blue sea at Beiudaihe and to linger at the foot of the Great Wall at Shanhaiguan. It may even infuse a new enthusiasm into your life.
The reward for travelling rough ware the discovery of many fantastically beautiful scenes. Famous mountains in various places would find you coming back for revisits during different seasons. There you are, marveling at the kaleidoscopic spectacles during the diff.
