k well shopping full stop in thailand is very cheap! you can have a whole new wardrobe on a very small budget including genuine shoes and jewellrey. there are also many many places to do shopping and don’t be afraid to try some of their street malls and such…very good stuff for really cheap! you’ll definetely find what you’re looking for at an affordable price no matter how much money you take!

It really depends on what you want to buy. You can get ANYTHING at MBK. Depending on your haggling skill and how many item you are buying, you could get as little as 100 – 150THB for a T-shirt. You can get T-shirt, shirts, dresses, skirts, jeans, shoes, handbags, jewelery for cheap.
You can get ANYTHING!!! ANYTHING!!! (OOH thinking about it makes me want to go back right now and go shopping again !)
Just bring lots of money (but not too much that it is over the legal limit) it’s SHOP TILL YOU DROP (and then some more), BABY!!!

MBK mall is a good place to start, however you wont find the best prices here. Typically a females shirt will run from 150-250 baht, usually 200$ for standard items. Handbags are about 199 baht at most stores. A pair of brand name jeans “fakes” will be about 550-700 baht. Diesels are about 600 for example. Jewelery is all ranged differantly. I would recomend the chattichuck weekend market. Its hot and sweaty with no A/C on saterday and sunday but you will lose yourself here. You can barter the prices down more than you would be able to at MBK. Another option is the Bayok tower market. Located by the big johnny walker tower. Havnt been myself but i hear its the cheapest for wholesale. If you by 3 items or more in a shop you are guaranteed a excellant price. However my faveorite has always been Khao San Road. Good variety of items that are in style. If your looking for real gear, check out the siam square. Better yet, the lonely planet thailand book has a whole shopping section that will steer you in the right direction. Good Luck, its a crazy place!
