My school just went on a vist to a Sihk temple 9we're a Catholic school). The teacher emailed the temple and asked and they were glad to have us there, we went on a tour and ate some of their food, they asked us all to bring a scarf to cover our heads, take our shoes off, wash our hands ect. If you email or contact the temple then you can find out to save embarrassment and find out what to wear/what to do. That sounds allright.
