I normally don’t like chants done to “dance music”, but I actually enjoyed this version.

AFAIK the lowest chakra is the most important one, but what you’re talking about has only to do with esotherical – tantric buddhism – vajrayana, for example Tibetan buddhism. Nichiren Daishonin is mahayana buddhism.

But if you’re refering to the meaning of “nam myoho renge kyo”, then it does in fact have a lot to do with lotus (chakra?), cause it comes from the main scripture of this buddhism, the Lotus Sutra.

Sounds more like the 7th chakra which I wouldn’t define as the “main” one? Or is it that different with mantras in buddhism??

Thank you for your kind advice. I’ll start right away. I am too upset now over so many things. I was wretching just this morning from various assaults coming at me from life…

First restart chanting now. While you chant think of all the bad thinks you want out of your life, then think of the great things you would like to happen, but think of them without a minimum doubt they’ll happen. Secondly, don’t rely on ANYTHING nor ANYBODY other than YOURSELF to be HAPPY. You are the most important person in the world for you. What counts is not the bad things that happen, but the way you react to them. Are you going to stay in the mud or stand up and irradiate energy?

I used to chant over some 8 months ago. Then I got tied up in work and personal life, and was ignoring it.
Now some pretty awful things are happening to me and am trying to get out of my cycle of bad luck.
I welcome any good advice as I’m down and out on my luck. My personal relationship seems to have soured and feel helpless to go on from this misery.

Nam myoho renge kyo also reffered to as daimoku is the main mantra and core practice of japanese Nichiren buddhism.

The sentence can be roughly translated as:
I devote myself to the Mystical Law of the Universe (Lotus sutra)

I picked up this style of Buddhism in the Army. The chant puts me in a calm state of mind and personally I like saying it quietly when I’m at the firing range. It puts me into a calm focus.

It’s just like a long note that a choir seems to hold; just a couple of people at a time take a breath at different parts of the song, or chant so it sounds like nobody is taking a breath. This is a great video, I’ve been wondering for a while if I was saying it right.
