My husband and I had the Round-the-World trip and I have to say, after seeing Angkor Wat, there is nothing really can compare to it even though it is built 900 years ago ago. I also recommend Toroko gorge in Taiwan which is the natural structure (I am from Taiwan). You can do rafting during summer time and it is quite pretty. Lots of other great temples/shrines in and around Kyoto as well. If you have seen "Memoirs of a Geisha", the scene where she is running through a series of orange torii gates is at Fushimi-Inari.
